Book Talk in Polylino
Enhancing Polylino – Introducing Book Talk!
We’re making Polylino an even more powerful educational tool for early years by introducing Book Talk to the service!
Reading aloud and discussing texts are fundamental to children's early literacy and language development. To support educators in making the most of literature, we’ve developed dedicated book discussion materials.
Why Book Talk Matters
Book Talk enriches the reading experience by encouraging children to share their thoughts and engage with different perspectives. This helps them develop empathy, confidence in expressing their ideas, and a deeper appreciation for books.
There are no right or wrong answers in a Book Talk—what matters most is the children's interpretations. By fostering curiosity and conversation, Book Talk creates a strong reading community where every child’s voice is valued.

The material consists of three different parts. You can find the material by selecting a book and pressing the book conversation icon.
- General questions - questions that work for (almost) all books.
- Book-specific questions - suggested questions based on specific titles.
- Meaningful words - for books with specific questions, we have selected some words that may be discussed to enhance preunderstanding.
