Our Vision

Education is the foundation for all democratic societies, and ILT Education, with our vision that all students should have access to an equal education, is here to make sure it happens.

Founded in 1992 by a family with visually impaired children, we have, since inception, been focused on supporting those students who need a bit of extra care! The necessity to support students with special needs is growing in most countries. We are following that trend to constantly increase our contribution to educational systems around the world.

What Do We Do?

ILT’s products range from nursery to adult education. We focus on building literacy skills from an early age, supporting both children’s home language and the majority language in their schooling systems. Our products also provide assistance to those whose reading skills are lagging behind and need support to keep up with their schooling.

As children get older and the curriculum becomes more demanding, the lowest-performing children often find the challenges overwhelming and the steps they need to take too high.

Textbooks and other learning materials are designed to fit the broad majority, near the median, and increase in difficulty at the same pace. That makes sense, since that is where most children are.

However, for the children with challenges these materials often require too much pre-existing knowledge, skills, or language to be usable. Instead of helpful stepping stones in their learning process, such material can become an insurmountable wall.

ILT Education is built on the firm belief that all children can develop, and are prepared to put in the effort, as long as the challenges are reasonable and proportionate to their capabilities at each stage of the learning process.

By providing children with smaller, intermediate steps, we know that they can reach higher levels, develop at a higher pace, and grow their self-confidence on the way. Teachers carefully choose how much support each student is offered at each point in time, and when it is time to increase the challenge to the next level. We provide the tools for the teacher to do so!

Our Markets

ILT was founded in Sweden but currently operates in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, the USA and the UK.

With our experience from Sweden we take the best parts of the Swedish education system and bring it to new markets. We often combine that with local products from local companies that we can partner with in one way or another.

ILT Education in the UK

As the UK division of ILT Education, a global leader in inclusive and multilingual EdTech solutions, we have grown significantly since joining the ILT family in 2022. While we remain an integral part of ILT Education, we operate independently to ensure our products and services are tailored to the needs of educators and learners in the UK. By combining our expertise and resources under one unified brand, we continue to drive educational impact, equity, and trust, making high-quality learning accessible to all.

Join Us?

ILT is built by our customers. Through feedback and discussions we continue to develop our products.

We have in the past years also enhanced and complemented our product portfolio by acquiring companies with great products and services to help them scale their impact and reach even more pupils under the ILT umbrella.
