ILT Education acquires UK based company Nessy Learning

ILT Education Continues to Strengthen SEND Capabilities and International Footprint Through Acquisition of UK Based Dyslexia Leader Nessy Learning Limited

Headquartered in Stockholm, ILT Education has focused on supporting children with special educational needs across Europe for the past 25 years. The company continues to deliver on its pan-European vision of “all students should have equal access to education" through organic and inorganic growth.

Today’s acquisition of Nessy Learning Limited (below “Nessy”) further strengthens ILT's market position as a leader in supporting children with dyslexia. Nessy is the most trusted solution for 3500+ schools to support reading development among children with dyslexia. Founded in 1999 by Mike Jones (Managing Director), Nessy was based on his own experiences of dyslexia and how he was taught by his mother who supported Mike through-out his education. The Nessy solutions are based on the pedagogy that Mike’s mother, Pat, created and that is now supporting children all over the world.

Under the supervision of Mike and Tiffany Jones, Nessy has developed a unique position in the English-speaking world as a leading tool to support children with dyslexia. Nessy has also recently launched a solution to support children with dyscalculia (a disorder affecting the ability to learn math-related skills). Over the years, Nessy has emerged as a reputable brand and leading voice in the academic dyslexia-community around the world.

Nessy will become a key pillar of ILT’s dyslexia offering, and the ambition to keep driving Nessy’s growth into new schools and homes. ILT’s significant experience from the Special Needs Education sector throughout Europe will help Nessy accelerate growth and keep excelling in product development. Nessy also strengthens ILT’s position in the UK market, and expands ILT’s operations into the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
